OLD SCHOOL CORN FRITTERS

 

INGREDIENTS

2 Cups Whole Kernal Corn – 4 Ears (About 2 Cups)

 

WET INGREDIENTS

3/4 to 1 Cup of Whole Milk

1 Egg (slightly Beaten)

2 Tablespoons Melted Butter

 

DRY INGREDIENTS

1 Cup of All-Purpose Flour

1 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

2 Tablespoons Sugar

1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg

1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon


 DIRECTIONS

In a small bowl Mix all wet ingredients together

In a Medium size bowl, mix all dry ingredients together, then add the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix well.  Add corn and mix until all ingredients are blended.

Heat Oil in a pot or fryer to about 350F

Drop batter using a small ice cream scoop or tablespoon in hot oil and fry on all sides until golden brown.  Drain on rack with paper towels under it.  Enjoy!
