OLD SCHOOL CUSTARD RICE PUDDING
INGREDIENTS
2 Cups of Cooked Long Grain Rice
1 1/4 Cup of Sugar
3 Eggs
1 Cup of Milk
1 Cup Heavy Cream
1/2 Stick of Melted Butter
1 Teaspoon Nutmeg
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract/Flavoring
DIRECTIONS
Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees
In large bowl, beat eggs slightly, add sugar and mix until sugar starts to dissolve, then add milk and heavy cream and mix well.
Add rice to mixture stirring to combine, then add melted butter and teaspoon of nutmeg, mixing to combine, and last add the vanilla flavoring, blending to combine.
Pour mixture in a casserole dish and sprinkle nutmeg over the top. Sit the casserole dish inside another baking dish and add boiling hot water fill to about 1/4 of the way, bake at 350 degrees for 90 minutes. When a knife is entered and it comes out clean, it is ready. Enjoy!
