OLE SCHOOL HOLIDAY PORK ROAST



INGREDIENTS

1-4-5 Pound Pork Loin Roast (bone in)

2 Tablespoons of Butter

2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil


SPICE RUB

1 Teaspoon of Onion Powder

1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder

1 Teaspoon of Paprika

1 Teaspoon of Kosher Salt

1 Teaspoon of Ground Black Pepper

1 Teaspoon of Rosemary

1 Teaspoon of Thyme


GRAVY

Pan Drippings

2 Tablespoons Butter

1/2 Cup Flour

4 Cups of Chicken Broth

1/2 Cup of Heavy Cream

Salt & Pepper

Onion & Garlic Powder

1 Red Onion Sliced

2 Stalks of Celery

5 Cloves of Garlic Chopped


DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven 350F Degrees

Blend Spice Rub together and coat and rub on all sides of Pork Roast, then in large skillet add Olive Oil and butter, when melted, brown all side of Roast, cook about 5-6 minutes on each side.

Make Gravy

Using Pan Drippings, add 2 mor tablespoons of Butter, add flour, stirring over medium low heat until lightly brown. Add chicken broth and heavy cream then add salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, then add celery, chopped garlic and onions. Cook until gravy thickens, then put roast in Dutch oven or deep pan and pour gravy over roast, cover Roast and cook in 350F degrees for 2 ½ hours. Enjoy!
